The other day I was having a good old look at the the recent Resort 2012 collections, and thought I would do a blog post on my favorite collections...

Christopher Kane - I love this collection, the use of block colour on simple A-line dresses & lace prints on metallics sounds like a total disaster but it works and amazingly, I am certainly a big fan of this collection and the pleated silver collared dress!

My next favourite Resort collection is Matthew Williamson, the collection is inspired by the art and culture of the Far East, the fabrics use motifs and prints to portray the classical watercolour prints of the Far East.  The big sleeves and draping are influenced by the style of the kimono.

The next collection is Rochas, a label that I have only recently come across, the designer Marco Zanini has an individual style of designing clothes with an awkwardness and this is portrayed in his models also. The garments in the collection follow Zanini's usual chic style of transforming simple shapes into individual pieces by using prints, pastels and browns. I really like Zanini's version of the trouser & tunic combo which is going to be big this season and into A/W 11-12.

Finally, another favourite would be Fendi, purely because of the use of crisp whites mixed with block colours, the whole collection is sleek and preppy and I do LOVE those tote bags and the straight leg trousers.
