Rimmel's Provocalips // Product Review

I have never been a massive fan of the transfer proof, lipstick lock style of lipstick. I always find them drying, a strange texture, impossible to remove and have found that the formula can leave a streaky effect - which lets be honest is a horrendous look.

Rimmel launched their version of the 2 step transfer proof lipstick last October with 8 shades. When the product first launched I was inquisitive to try this formula, especially after seeing the stunning Georgia May Jagger strutting her stuff in the Provocalips TV ad.

I tried the following colours and below you will see swatches of how these look. On first impressions I was really impressed with the colour range, a lovely selection of pinks, nudes & reds. My definite favourite would be the pink shade 'I'll call you' a gorgeous rose pink that is great for day & night. I'm also a big fan of the deep red shade 'play with fire', (shown below) this worn with neutral eye makeup is a favourite look of mine at the mo!

The two step process that allows this product to give that 16hr transfer proof lip, involves the following;
Apply the colour evenly across your lips, allow 60 seconds for the colour to dry & then apply the lock over the top. I would suggest leaving your lips apart for ten to twenty seconds just for the lipstick lock to dry & then you are ready to go!

I find the formula for this product really great, it's not drying, nor does it have a weird texture on the lips, the product certainly lasts for hours & even after eating lunch and having a few cups of tea, this lipstick was not budging!

I have read a few bloggers reviews of this product explaining their problems with removing at the end of the day. I removed this with an oil based cleanser & had no troubles!

I would definitely recommend this product especially for nights out as you don't even have to worry that your dancing around like Queen Bey with no lipstick left on your lips!
