For a while highlighters were not really on my radar, for me a bit of blush on the cheeks was enough and I felt intimidated by the application of them, however after reading several blogger reviews back in my uni days from the likes of Vivianna Does Makeup and Lily pebbles I thought I should delve in.
These days highlighters come in so many forms (of which I've tried many) from sticks to powders but my all time favourite would be the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish powder in soft and gentle (£24.00). This highlighting powder give a subtle shimmer and I find it best to apply to the brow bone and down onto the cheek bone where the sun would naturally hit. Because of my pale skin I use this also as a bronzer and apply under the cheek bones for a bit of colour and very slight contour.

The next highlighter and the perfect addition to the Mac Mineralize Powder is the recently discovered NYX Baked Blusher in Chiffon. I am really loving NYX as a brand, their product range is so strong and features a whole array of cult buys. I brought the colour Chiffon and think its rosey hue is a perfect complimentary colour for my skin tone and the shimmer gives an extra highlight on the cheeks. I will definitely be buying more of these, especially at £6.50.
