When the Alexa Chung collaboration was announced, I was super excited, I mean her style is so on point and I love a bit of vintage thrown in with current trends so knew this would be a good'un.

The collection itself takes inspiration from the archives of M&S. So this meant 80's ruffle necks blouses, houndstooth trousers and silk slip camis.

On the day of the release I decided to go to the M&S in White City to snap up a piece, the Harry blouse was first choice but because of all the hype I didn't think they would have any left however to my surprise they did and so much more, which for my bank balance wasn't ideal.

I tried on a few dresses and left with the high neck shift dress,  the print taken from an archived apron.  I love the bright colours featured within this print as it complements my fair skin tone rather than draining it.

The next purchase was the Harry Blouse in pink (as below) I seriously can't can't enough of the 'pie-crust' high neck on this, it just adds a level of femininity and vintage chic.
Alexa styled this with ripped denim jeans and little ballet pumps in the ads but as I was wearing this for a meal out I wanted to style it with a touch more smartness, so I paired it with black Jamie Topshop jeans, my vintage black chain bag and my white Topshop brogues to complement the pastel hues.

My final Alexa Chung X Marks and Spencer purchase was the Mac which I thought I wouldn't like but once I saw it in person I was sold. It's the perfect Mac, great shape, colour and quality (I'll have a post wearing this coming soon).
