The last few days have been an introduction to Autumn and its cooler weather, however thought that I would post these more summery throwbacks to warmer weather for any of you lucky lot that may be escaping to warmer climates and looking for some summer wardrobe updates.
The folk blouse has been big news this season and I have been loving the trend, because folk blouses are so cool in warmer weather and they are also great all through the season and into early Autumn with jeans rather than a denim skirt.
Zara and Asos did some great folk blouses this season but the below was from Joules
I teamed this blouse with Boden denim skirt, my Mulberry bag, ASOS sunnies and Topshop brown heeled cut-off boots.

It seems that autumn may be finally on its way, yes I have loved having the light evenings, sunshine, warm weather and not having to wear a jacket or coat every day. However, I feel I may have exhausted my summer wardrobe and am ready to embrace the cosy knits and let my army of boots free from the depths of my wardrobe ready for the autumn.
Summer however is clinging on with its muggy mitts and is making dressing for this particularly awkward, cue the dungarees and light coat.
For a while I wasn't sure about dungarees, I mean they can go one of two ways, really well and really bad i.e trashy, I wanted to avoid the latter!
I felt that black dungarees were a good transition in to the dungaree field and they are great for A/W. They are so versatile to style, they can be styled with a t'shirt for a more casual look on a warmer day or with a polo neck for cooler days, add a pair of heels and it's the perfect work outfit.
On the day I snapped the below, the weather was having one of those awkward days, where taking a coat with me was necessary, but then the weather took a warmer turn and I had too carry it round all afternoon - FUN. This coat is great for the in-between months and the perfect colour for AW, you can't beat a classic camel coat in autumn.
To finish this outfit off I chose these leopard prints pointed flats which are always a great statement. For so long I stayed so clear of leopard shoes and now am partial to a statement shoe or two!

This was one of those days where the sunshine shows it's face but there is still a little chill in the air, those days when a cardigan is essential.
This post was taken back when Summer was on its way (a tad delayed, yes!). It was a day trip kind of day when I was back in Dorset and we took a drive down to Swanage.
Swanage is one of my favourite places in Dorset, It's such a nostalgic town for a day out and the little boutiques in the centre especially my favourite shop, Curiosity are easy to loose hours in. I have popped below some of my favourite shops that you should definitely check out if you are ever in the area.
I shot the below look on the seafront next to these modern beach huts as I couldn't resist the colour coordination with my outfit. This little vintage number has been in my wardrobe for a while and was a right old find, perfect for those in between season wardrobe moments. I paired it with ripped jeans to add bit more modernity and threw on my 'work with everything' boots.
