Now that we are in the midst of winter and no one has time for cold feet, I thought that I would post about the key shoes your wardrobe needs for the winter season (note, tights may be required)

Winter is great for getting your boots out the wardrobe but is quite constricting when it comes to what you can wear without freezing your tootsies off.

So below are what in my opinion are what a gal needs on her feet at this time of year;

The Trainer - The trainer is now probably on the feet of about 70% of girls that live in London every day. But there is a reason for this, they are comfy, practical and stylish and give a scandi-esque look to any outfit.
These Adidas Gazelles are one of the comfiest pair of trainers that I own (My Stan Smiths win of course) and although suede may not be low maintenance in winter they are worth it.

The Loafer - The simple classic loafer has been a staple shoe in any girls wardrobe for years. Perfect with skirts and tights or if you're brave enough ripped jeans and a cosy jumper. These shoes can take you all the way through winter. I opted for metallic loafers as a bit of metallic adds an instant trend update.

The Statement Loafer - The statement loafer, is a definite must have in any wardrobe. This shoe packs a punch on a grey dreary day with its leopard detailing and burgundy colour. Teamed with a denim skirt and a cream knit or jeans and a crisp white cotton shirt with a coatigan is a perfect relaxed yet stylish outfit for work.

The Heeled boot - These boots I purchased over a year ago, and they are the perfect heeled boot that goes with everything and crucially they are not stupidly high so I can wear them all day, without having to wear a pair of flats to work and change once I arrive #glam.
Heeled boots look great with everything from jeans to dresses to smart joggers with a shirt tucked in. Plus these boots are super warm as your ankles are not exposed!

There you have it, the four shoe styles that you need this season.

Last week my boyfriend and I took a long weekend break in the beautiful city of Copenhagen. We had heard a little about the amazing design that you can find around every corner, so being big interiors and fashion fans we were eager to check out what Copenhagen had to offer.

I will of course pop a little post up about what we got up to in Copenhagen
, but I thought that first I would post this OOTD that we snapped in the Botanical Gardens.

I don't think we realised how beautiful
it would be and were amazed at how many plants were housed in what seemed from the outside a smallish greenhousebut inside you could get lost in the overgrown palms and vines.

It's definitely worth checking outmake sure that you check out the cacti and succulents house which are amazing! Plus if you go in the Winter, its also a nice winter warmer with its sub tropical climate (however make sure you wear layers - I was more than cosy in my jumper and Arctic parka).
Whilst in Copenhagen I think I may have come away with more than a little inspiration from the Scandi style. It's so effortless and simple, all the greys, navy, pinstripes and knitwear
: so classic.
If you were wondering where the jumper I have on below is from, you may be surprised to hear that it’s from TU Clothing at Sainsbury's, yes Sainsbury's….how amazing!

When I saw it originally on The Frugality's Instagram and with 25% off, I couldn't resist. This jumper is so cosy and was perfect for freezing Copenhagen.

For this trip I wanted a comfy outfit for walking round the city that was
also practical, so this jumper teamed with ankle cut flares from H&M and my ever versatile Stan Smiths, was the perfect ensemble.
