When Summer does show its face in the UK, the sun cream makes an appearance, especially for red haired species such as myself. Now as someone who has to regularly wear sun cream through the Summer to avoid ending up looking like kind of lobster, I want to know what I am putting on to my skin and to avoid at all costs the nasties that can be found in suncream!

Green People are a brand that I discovered earlier this year through my sister and they have continued to impress me with their variety of products. Organic & natural sun cream is not naturally something I would think of purchasing, probably due to the fact that I tend to just stick to what I know, purchasing high street brands of sun cream that I know I won't burn with. So I was very interested to trial the Green People products when the sun decided to shine!

My initial thoughts on the Scent Free Sun Lotion were that it has a super light consistency! Considering it is factor 30, I was impressed that it wasn't thick and it didn't take long to rub into the skin. The lotion is also not sticky, so you don't feel like you need a shower the second that you put it on.

The sun lotion claims to be non-irritating and non-greasy and from someone who has very sensitive skin, I can vouch that I had no problems whatsoever with the product on my skin. It does say that it is scent free, however, I think there is a very subtle sweet scent, but it's the kind of smell that you would associate with summer days having beachy days. The lotion contains Aloe Vera, Green Tea, Edelweiss and is rich in antioxidants to protect delicate skin. I was super intrigued to understand how the sun lotion protects skin whilst being non pore-clogging so Green People's Founder Charlotte Vohtz detailed 'Pores that are blocked by waterproof chemical sun lotions can lead to Prickly Heat so instead of synthetic pore-clogging ingredients Green People use Beeswax and Berry Wax to naturally repel water without blocking sweat glands'.

After a day in the sun, I showered off the sun lotion and applied the Hydrating After Sun Moisturiser to cool and moisturize my skin. It contains Aloe Vera, Calendula and Mint and smells amazing! - super fresh and minty. It definitely moisturised my skin and left it feeling energised. Green People suggest that you can also use this product year round as a soothing moisturiser for when your skin needs that boost!

Where I am beginning to assess the products that I am using on my skin and trying to avoid where possible, chemicals, it makes total sense to start eradicating unnatural sun SPF products and will 100% be using these on any sunny days if the weather decided to up its game! C'mon England it is literally August!

*Thank you to Green People for Kindly gifting me these fab products.
